Course Format

Well organised and structured. Fully packed schedule with good coverage of all the major topics.
All lectures taught around EMQ’s which made the teaching specific and relevant to the exam.

Covered a few areas which I had not come across in text books which then came up in the exam!
Lots of good pictures used for teaching.

Literature given was disappointing, included print outs of lecture slides, but did not include any pictures, and the questions were also printed together with their answers, meaning you could not use them for practice/revision after the course.

The food was also very dissapointing, small portions and generally not very nice. When you have to concentrate from 9-6 you need a decent meal! We ended up taking our own additional food.

Good end of course exam. At first we were given the paper to do alone and then in ‘who wants to be a millionaire style’. Each question given, then everyone picked their answers via electronic key pad. Correct answer given and then discussed. Gave you an opportunity to see how you compared to others.

Unfortunately we were not allowed to take the exam papers away with us, and a lot of the questions seemed tailored to the teaching we had been given rather than the syllabus..

Summary

Although I enjoyed the course and had an excellent time in Edinburgh I was a little disappointed, and it certainly was not up to the standards of the Part 1 Pastest course I attended earlier in the year.

Would you recommend this course?
